Why it exists

GitHub project management without the command-line fog.

See every project clearly

Add folders from anywhere on your PC and see Git state, GitHub connection, branch, changed files, warnings, and sync status in one dashboard.

Create and connect repos safely

Create private GitHub repositories, connect existing repos, refresh renamed remotes, or disconnect a wrong repo link without deleting local files.

Push without guessing

RepoDock checks Git, GitHub CLI, secrets, generated folders, missing .gitignore files, and old remote histories before upload actions.

Built for local control

Your projects stay on your computer. RepoDock uses Git and GitHub CLI behind the scenes so you keep the normal developer workflow.

Workflow

From folder to GitHub repo in a few careful clicks.

RepoDock keeps the useful Git flow, but puts the risky decisions in front of you with plain labels and confirmations.

  1. Add a folderPick any local project folder. RepoDock reads its Git state without moving your files.
  2. Connect GitHubCreate a private repo, connect an existing one, or refresh a remote after a GitHub rename.
  3. Review warningsCatch missing .gitignore files, generated folders, secret-looking files, and old repo history before pushing.
  4. Push with confidenceWrite the commit message, confirm the action, and let RepoDock run the Git steps behind the scenes.

Questions

What buyers should know.

Is RepoDock official GitHub software?

No. RepoDock is an independent desktop app that helps you use Git and GitHub more comfortably.

Does it replace Git?

No. RepoDock uses Git and GitHub CLI behind the scenes, so those tools still need to be installed.

Is Mac or Linux supported?

The first public version is Windows-only. The website works on phones, tablets, Mac, and Linux, but the installer is currently for Windows PCs.

Can I reinstall it?

Yes. Your dashboard settings are stored in your Windows user app-data folder, and the app also includes backup export/import.

Can someone use the installer without paying?

The installer may be downloadable, but the public version is planned to require license activation after purchase.

Will RepoDock upload my code somewhere else?

No. RepoDock works locally and pushes only to the GitHub repositories you choose.

What happens if Git or GitHub CLI is missing?

RepoDock shows setup checks and guidance so the user knows what is missing before trying GitHub actions.

Is this for beginners or experienced developers?

Both, but the biggest benefit is for people who want GitHub control without memorizing commands or guessing what is safe.

What if I buy from a phone or Mac?

Checkout can still work, but the download page will clearly say RepoDock is a Windows app. You can save the license and install it later on a Windows computer.

Can I use it with existing GitHub repos?

Yes. You can connect an existing repo, pull remote changes, refresh a renamed GitHub link, or disconnect the local repo link without deleting the GitHub repo.

What happens with private files like .env?

RepoDock warns about common secret-looking files before Git actions. You should still review every project and keep secrets out of commits.
